Curriculum

Our Curriculum
St. Paul believes that as part of God’s wonderful creation each of His children have been given gifts and talents in abundance. The purpose of education is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and discipline to use those gifts both here in time and later in eternity. As good stewards of the gifts we have been given, it is our responsibility to develop them to their fullest.

St. Paul’s curriculum and academic program is accredited by the State of Illinois and the National Lutheran Schools Association. Religion, language, reading, social studies, science, and math make up the core of our curriculum. It is further enhanced through instruction in music, art, physical education, health, and technology. The academic program at St. Paul has been producing quality leaders in our community for nearly 150 years. Graduates of St. Paul routinely find academic and extra curricular success in area high schools. The solid foundation throughout the curriculum and teaching we offer provides them with confidence they need to find success.

Enhanced Curriculum
Our academic program is further enhanced with student access to a staffed reading resource center, DSL connected computer lab, full functioning science lab, and algebra offered in eighth grade. St. Paul’s teachers understand that students need the skills to prepare for an ever-changing world. We believe that they must be given the tools necessary to function as Christians and leaders in our society.
